The biggest source in the world

It seems that in the Gulf States they do not stop planning ideas to increase the flow of tourists and look for attractions that allow them to diversify their sources of income.

Last Monday, the project was presented to, by 2009, build one of the largest sources in the world, as the central axis of its Burj Dubai Urban Center project. Although it still has no name, the engineering behind the idea will allow water to be launched at a height of 150 meters, the same as a 50-story building! As for length, they also do not fall short, and will extend along 275 meters, two soccer fields, for those who are better oriented with references to that sport. These dimensions will mean that it will be 25% larger than the famous Bellagio fountain in Las Vegas and, like her, will include an integrated light and sound show, thanks to its 50 projectors and 6600 lights.

The invoice? Well, the negligible amount of almost 179.00 euros, according to other millionaire projects such as "The World" or the set of islands plus palm-shaped luxury villa or, naturally, the luxurious Burj Al Arab in which to stay in your room more expensive, the Royal Suite, loosens our pocket at 18,000 euros ... per night.

Curious city of a curious country that many only know for a few hours, being one of the stops on non-direct flights to Asia. Shopping centers, desert and, also, surprises such as Internet City, the largest IT complex in the Middle East or an extraordinary network of financial services that contribute 11% of the state's revenues, almost double what comes from the industry oil and natural gas (6%).

And, as we have seen in Spain with its multimillion-dollar real estate investments in Costa del Sol for decades, some of the OPEC countries are preparing for the moment when the black and viscous liquid of the tap ceases to flow.

I end up with a click that can be heard from the Saudis. My grandfather was traveling by camel, my father by car, I do it by plane, my children will do it by plane and my grandchildren ... by camel.
