Enjoy an excursion through the forest and discover the different path stone carved sculptures. That was our proposal for last weekend at the Serralada Litoral, on horseback between the towns of La Roca del Vallès and Òrrius.

We approached by car from Barcelona following the C-33 to later divert to the road between the two towns.

It took just over half an hour to Magic Forest of the Stone Elephant. It should be noted that I have only seen this name on Google Maps and I could not see any signs along the way or on the same site that mentioned this name.

We park the road about 100 meters from the starting point where a wide path opens from the same road. You should pay attention to a sign that says “Ca l'Argent”And park in front of the detour. The road is just a few steps in the direction of La Roca del Vallés.

We descend it. A few meters we are on the right hand side with the sculpture of a great moai that seemed to have escaped from its Chilean environment on Easter Island in search of the shadow of the Mediterranean forest.

The surprise was double when bordering it and observing that it is a double-sided moai sculpture, one on each side. The sculpture on stone is very well achieved and its staging among the thick vegetation of the forest is surprising.

We continue walking through the forest and just 50 meters away we find a large sculpture of an elephant finely carved in the stone. If you walk carefully you can climb on his back for a good picture.

After contemplating the great elephant carved in the rock and the double-sided moai, we continue through the forest with the illusion of finding some more sculpture but we were not lucky.
