Dangerous jellyfish along the beaches of Ibiza and Formentera

The Portuguese caravel, that kind of jellyfish without being sighted by the Strait of Gibraltar last year and a stir caused, has been seen by the beaches of Ibiza and Formentera during the last days.

Much was said about the Portuguese caravel and according to experts the subject has been mitigated and they are not as dangerous as some do. While it is true that the stinging may be superior to that of a conventional jellyfish due to the large diameter of its tentacles, it is almost impossible to cause death as some have alarmed.

The Portuguese caravel is easy to identify. You will see that it floats on water through a kind of float that is always visible.
