Traditional Peruvian food is rich and enjoys a wide variety of local products. The country is home to almost all possible planet ecosystems - from the Pacific to the Amazon rainforest and from the desert to the highest peaks of the Andes - and that feeds its population with an infinite variety of products.

Among the gastronomic menu of the country we find a surprise. It is the guinea pig or also called guinea pig or guinea pig. Its meat has a long culinary tradition within the pre-Inca culture of the Andes. The name comes from the noise emitted by these animals.
