China puts on makeup with the 2008 Olympic Games about to be released. At the same time, take the opportunity to get in the race to compete between the most modern and famous buildings and constructions in the world. This time, the Atkin architect group has designed and built a 400-room hotel under a gigantic dam in Sonhjiang, a city near Shanghai.

The resort hotel is built underground and there are a number of amenities such as cafes, restaurants and the possibility of water sports.

The architectural group won an international award thanks to the elaborate construction design.

It seems that there is a worldwide competition to be the best at the level of architectural design in the world. Of course, Dubai tops the list with a whole series of impressive buildings that seem out of the next century - and see that there are still years!

In China little is left of past centuries. The tonic in this immense country is to throw and rebuild. So clear. Clear examples are Lijiang or Kunming.

Near the dam of the three throats I remember seeing how some workers collapsed houses and flats by hand. Then they picked up the beams and the bricks to reuse them again. It was amazing, they took advantage of every last nail.
